NORTHERN REGION EDITION - TICKETS HERE

THE PROGRAM

    [MODULE ONE] UNDERSTANDING THE WINE TOURISM INDUSTRY

    1.45 - 2pm | An introduction to the wine tourism industry & the expectations of consumers, & why ‘staff are the product’. This module begins with a focus on why every customer must have an exceptional experience to build & maintain high brand equity and regional competitiveness and how this awareness results in attitudinal change.

    MODULE TWO - TALKING ABOUT TASMANIA & TASMANIAN WINE

    2pm - 3pm | Introduction to talking about wine & a tasting of three wines. This fundamental module covers an introduction to wine vocabulary, how to talk about wine in different ways to suit different consumers and how to leverage regional character, brand stories & wine style to engage guests and increase sales.

    MODULE THREE – THE DELIGHT FACTOR - HOW TO DELIVER EXCEPTIONAL TASTINGS

    3pm - 4pm | In the first half of module three we explore the first steps of the Vintuition five part guide to delivering exceptional tastings. Building on the earlier discussion on the different types of wine consumers, their characteristics & expectations; we then move on to a short discussion on cultural awareness and how to communicate well with people of all backgrounds & languages. We then move on to teach participants how to begin a tasting to maximize sales & signups in addition to sharing insights on confidence, motivation and teamwork.

    Fully Catered Coffee  & Tea Break 4pm - 4.15pm

    4.15pm - 6pm | The rest of the module covers the practical side of what makes an exceptional tasting, including how to sell (and upsell), how to increase direct & online engagement, how to increase newsletter subscriptions and wine club loyalty, how to service groups/families/non-tasters/drivers, overcoming sales objections and how to communicate brand messages to maximize word of mouth & social proof.
